BIDDING ADIEU:LEADERS FROM MAX GWU PROGRAM
Max Healthcare GWU program always poised to be the leader in EM Education in this country. One of the mark of the leadership is to produce leaders in EM for India and even abroad who carry the flag of the department and the program.
Dr Sanjay Jaiswal joined Max Healthcare in 2006 and then joined the program in 2008 is one such leader I always admire. I have seen his outstanding capability in management of ED, Innovative team building and eagerness to develop EM in India. Sanjay will be joining as faculty at King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH). KHUH was established as part of a medical strategy to develop a Centre for organ transplant surgeries and Trauma in the Kingdom of Bahrain, using state-of-the-art medical technology and the most sophisticated information systems. The institute is affiliated to RCSI, Ireland for all academic programs.
Please visit KHUH website for further details.
Dr Sunil Choudhary joined Max Healthcare in 2006 and then joined the program in 2008 with Sanjay. Both of them were chief residents of our program and have built the program shouldering many of my responsibilities as program director. Sunil will be joining as Senior Consultant and HOD to Mission Hospital Durgapur (MHD), West Bengal and will also serve as a program director to MHD Long Island Jewish Health System, New york, USA-Hofstra EM program ( Masters in Emergency Medicine, International). Sunil is a true Clinical Leader in sense and carry the vision of upbringing Indian Emergency Medicine to Asian Federation.
Please visit MHD website for further details.
At Max Healthcare the faculty, the staff and the residents will surely miss both of them from core of their heart. The institutions they will serve will in future will immensely gain from the effort and contribution of the two leaders and at the end of the day MAX EM FLAG will fly high up….....
Lastly I would like to quote Harold R. McAlindon who rightly said
“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”

Tamorish,
You should be very proud. During my time with the Max program, I have witnessed maturity and growth with Suneel and Sanjay, among others. I have no doubt that graduates of your program will continue to take leadership positions and spread emergency medicine throughout India and beyond. I believe this is what was envisioned when the GWU-Max was initiated. Congratulations again, and share my comments with your group.
Wishing you a happy new year!
Steve

I've been honored to work with all of the residents at MAX, and these two are prime examples of how successful your program has become. The future of EM in India is bright. Please extend my congratulations and well-wishes to both.
