DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCEMENT: DR PUNIDHA

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Punidha Kaliaperumal has been assigned to Gurgaon in a new role of “Incharge – Department of Emergency Medicine” at Max Healthcare Gurgaon with effect from May 4, 2012.

Dr. Punidha has done her MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and Masters in Emergency Medicine (MEM) from Max Healthcare in affiliation with The Ronald Reagan Institute, George Washington University (USA). She completed her training and experience in the field of Emergency Medicine and Trauma from Max Healthcare, New Delhi.

Prior to joining Max, she was working as Research Associate at Department of Internal Medicine’ John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, USA.

She has authored and co-authored several publications and research papers in national and international journal. She is also recipient of ISTAAC Bursary award in TRAUMA 2011 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for her outstanding work to develop a New Trauma triage Score named NEW DELHI TRAUMA SCORE.

She is also one of the founder members of Delhi Chapter of Society for Emergency Medicine in India and is also a member of the organizing committee of EMCON 2012, 14th Annual Conference of Society for Emergency Medicine, India.

She also serves as a faculty of American Heart Association courses at Max Institute of Medical Excellence, the International Training center of AHA.
